Christina and Jamie

June 06, 2026

The Bride & Groom

Christina and Jamie met in high school in 2018.

For anyone who knows them, it’s been clear from the start that they were simply meant to be!

Christina Rawn

Christina is a native of Stayner, Ontario where she grew up on her family farm. Like Jamie, she attended our Lady of the Bay High School  after transferring from her high school in Stayner. She is a talented artist, and works at Greenview Graphics.

Jamie Sissons

Jamie grew up in Newmarket, Ontario and moved to Wasaga Beach in 2015. He attended our Lady of the Bay High School in Colingwood, Georgian College in Barrie, and works at the YMCA in Wasaga Beach.

Our story

Like our parents and grandparents, we’ve been best friends from the day we met. We were part of the COVID generation. At times, attending separate colleges and balancing in-person and remote learning made things a little complicated.

June 2018

High school sweethearts

We became friends when we first met at Our Lady of the Bay High School in Collingwood, Ontario, on June 1st, 2018.  That soon led to realizing we were meant to be more.

April 2019

We fell in love

Our first official “date” was on April 29th, 2019. Jamie’s family knew that something had changed when he decided that he liked going to school in the Spring of 2019. Since April 29th, we’ve been inseparable.

May 2025

Christina said "Yes"

We made it official on May 16th, 2025, at Sunset Point—a favorite place in Collingwood. In fact, we recently returned to Sunset Point for our engagement pictures. On both sides of the family, our parents, siblings, and friends could not be happier.

June 2026

We are getting married!!

We’ve set our wedding date for June 6, 2026, at Walter’s Falls —an iconic wedding destination in Central Ontario.

The wedding and reception will be held at the same facility. We are planning a small event, with close family & friends only.

Invitations will be sent out in November 2025.

Please RSVP by February 2026

You can confirm your attendance and reach us by e-mail at: jamieandchristina@sissons.ca.

Note: We love your little ones, but for various reasons, we have decided to make this an adults-only event. We appreciate your understanding. After you RSVP, we will ask you to confirm meal choices. (See the FAQ for menu options)

"When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible."

A day of love and celebration

The wedding and reception will both be held at The Falls Inn & Spa at Walters Falls, Ontario.

The Falls Inn & Spa
140 Front St W.
Walters Falls, ON,

We are planning an outdoor wedding, but will move it indoors if it rains.

Unfortunately, space at The Falls Inn & Spa is limited. See the accommodations section below for recommendations on where you can stay.

Accommodations

Out-of-town guests may arrange to stay with friends and family in Wasaga Beach, Stayner, or Collingwood. The distance from Wasaga Beach and Stayner to the Falls Inn and Spa is approximately 60 kilometers (a one-hour drive).

For those who wish to book a hotel, The Falls Inn and Spa is centrally located. Suggestions with distances to the venue are provided below:
The Blue Mountains, Ontario (~24 kilometers to Walters Falls)
Thornbury, Ontario (~25 kilometers to Walters Falls)
Meaford, Ontario (~24 kilometers to Walters Falls)
Owen Sound, Ontario (~29 kilometers to Walters Falls)

For anyone flying in, Waters Falls is a 2 to 2.5 hour drive from Pearson Airport. If you plan to stay in Wasaga Beach, Stayner, Collingwood, or the Blue Mountains, the Simcoe Shuttle provides excellent service to all of these destinations. For other destinations, Taxis, Ubers, and other ride sharing apps may not be available. We recommend renting a car from Pearson Airport or making other arrangements.

Guests may consider an Airbnb. There are several boutique Inns and properties close to Walters Falls. Some of these listings can be expensive because they cater to travelers seeking a unique experience.
This link below takes you to available Airbnbs near Walters Falls available for a two-night stay, arriving June 5th and departing June 7th, 2026.

Gifts & contributions

While your presence is all we need, if you wish to bring a gift or make a small financial contribution, please feel free to do so.

A gift box will be available at the wedding and reception.

FAQ

When does the ceremony begin?

The wedding ceremony will begin at 2:00 PM on June 6th. Please plan to arrive a little earlier to allow for traffic. We’d ask guests to find their seats 20 minutes before the service begins. We expect the reception to begin at 4:00 PM to allow time for pictures, and dinner will be served at 5:00 PM.

What is the dress code?

The wedding party will be dressed up, but we want our guests to be comfortable. Dressy casual or formal attire is fine. You are welcome to bring a change of clothes if you want to wander around the property or be more relaxed during the reception.

What if it rains?

We hope to hold the wedding ceremony outdoors, but if it rains, we will move the service indoors to the Falls Inn’s main dining room.

Are there any activities available between the ceremony and the reception?

There are several indoor and outdoor lounge areas where guests can relax. The Falls Inn and Spa is located on the Bruce Trail, and guests can visit the Falls or go for a hike. The trail runs for ~900 km, but don’t feel like you need to hike the entire length. There is uneven ground in places, so please bring appropriate footwear if you plan to explore the trail or area around the Falls.

Will a bar be available at the reception?

Following the ceremony, guests will have access to a licensed lounge, and alcohol will be available at the reception. We will provide free drink tickets for guests, and a cash bar will be open before and during the reception. Please do not drink and drive.

Can I bring a guest?

Capacity is limited at the facility, and we need to manage attendance carefully. Please don’t bring a guest unless they’ve been invited. If you have questions or concerns, please contact us.

Can I bring children or pets?

For various reasons, we have decided to make this an adults-only event. The facility is not well-suited to young guests. Please do not bring a pet unless it is a service animal.

Is smoking or vaping permitted?

Yes, there is a designated area for this purpose in the outdoor patio adjacent to the reception hall.

Will there be a dance following the reception?

Yes, we have an awesome DJ, so please bring your boogie shoes and your best disco moves! After dinner and speeches, weather permitting, we will open the doors from the reception hall to the outdoor lounge area, and guests are free to dance, mingle, or wander around the property for as long as they like. We have the facility until midnight.

Can we attend the wedding and not the reception?

We hope that guests can enjoy both, but we understand if you cannot stay. Please let us know your plans when you RSVP, so we can plan accordingly.

Is the facility wheelchair accessible?

Yes, but with limitations. The service is planned to be held outdoors, in a grassy area near the parking lot. The main level of the Inn is fully accessible; however, the upper floors are not. The banquet hall and outdoor patio are on the lower level and are both easily accessible from the outside of the building. If you have mobility concerns, please contact us so we can make arrangements to help.

What if I have special meal requirements?

When you RSVP, you can indicate your preference for beef, chicken, or a vegetarian meal. Choices for the main course are:

Ontario Beef Medallion

Herb Roasted Chicken Supreme

Grilled Stacked Napoleon (vegetarian)

If you have other dietary requirements, please contact us, and we will see if they can be accommodated. You are also welcome to bring your own food or snacks.

Can I stay at the Falls Inn & Spa?

The Falls Inn & Spa has 15 rooms, and we’ve placed a hold on them to accommodate the wedding party and the immediate family of the bride and groom. Closer to the event, we will ask the Falls Inn and Spa to release any remaining rooms, and they will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. We don’t expect many rooms will be available, but we will update this website once we have more information. For information on where to stay, please see the “Accommodations” section of this website.

Moments

Jamie and Christina have had wonderful moments together, and are looking forward to creating many more as they start their life together as a married couple in June.
